Ceremony to Commemorate Defence and Martyrs Day Held in Ankara

Ankara: A ceremony to commemorate Defence and Martyrs Day was held in Ankara today, highlighting the longstanding friendship and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkey. Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler and senior Turkish officials attended the ceremony.

According to Radio Pakistan, Turkish Defence Minister Yasar Guler spoke at the event, stating that Pakistan is not only a friend of Turkey but also an important partner. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan's martyrs and expressed Turkey's deep affection and solidarity with Pakistan. Guler emphasized that Pakistan-Turkey relations are rooted in shared history, brotherly bonds, and mutual trust.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Turkey, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, reaffirmed the close ties between the two countries. Participants at the event also paid tribute to the sacrifices and services of the Pakistan Armed Forces. National anthems of both countries were played at the ceremony, along with national songs and patriotic performances.
