CDWP Approves Projects Exceeding Rs10 Billion for National Development


Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party has approved four projects worth 10.551 billion rupees for the national development. The CDWP, which met in Islamabad on Friday with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal in the chair, also recommended another four projects worth 256 billion rupees for further consideration by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council.



According to Radio Pakistan, the forum approved the construction of a graduate block in NCA Lahore at a cost of 1,607.314 million rupees. The Punjab Family Planning Program, costing 4,282.350 million rupees, Project Readiness Financing for Punjab Water Resources Management worth 1,673.328 million rupees, and the Hosting Community Support Program valued at 2,988 million rupees also received CDWP’s approval.



Besides, the forum referred the “Prime Minister’s Pakistan Fund for Education” worth 14,000 million rupees, the expansion of the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology and National Institute of Heart Diseases Rawalpindi costing 12,948.434 million rupees, the Karachi Urban Mobility Project worth 178,592.836 million rupees, and the Upgradation of NTDC’s Telecommunications and SCADA System valuing 50,374.200 million rupees to ECNEC for further consideration.
