Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party has approved three development projects worth 11.714 billion rupees.

According to Radio Pakistan, the CDWP meeting, chaired by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, also recommended two projects to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for further consideration.

The approved projects include the establishment of a Medical and Nursing College in Gilgit, which will cost over 4.9 billion rupees. Another project involves the establishment of the National Defence University FCS Campus at the Defence Complex Islamabad, with a budget of over 2.7 billion rupees. Additionally, a road project from Zera to Daboori in District Orakzai has been approved, costing over four billion rupees.

The Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Project, valued at over 19 billion rupees, along with the construction of a Water Supply Scheme to Gwadar Town from Mirani Dam under the Balochistan Socio-Economic Development Projects Phase-III, worth 29 billion rupees, were referred to ECNEC for further evaluation.
