Brazilian Foreign Minister Commends Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts in US-Iran Dialogue

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar today received a telephone call from Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira. The Brazilian Foreign Minister commended Pakistan's constructive role and efforts towards mediation in the US-Iran context, underscoring the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for global peace and security.

According to Radio Pakistan, Vieira also congratulated Ishaq Dar on Pakistan's signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the commendation and acknowledged Brazil's significant role in promoting South-South cooperation and commitment to peace and stability.

Both leaders highlighted the necessity of sustained high-level contacts and close coordination at the UN and other multilateral forums, reaffirming their dedication to multilateralism, dialogue, and diplomacy. They exchanged views on regional and international developments and agreed to remain closely engaged to further advance Pakistan-Brazil relations.

During the conversation, Ishaq Dar extended an invitation to the Brazilian Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan, while Mauro Vieira invited Dar to visit Brazil. Both agreed to maintain close communication and looked forward to further strengthening bilateral ties.
