BJP Govt’s Extremist Policy Poses Threat to Global Peace, Senate Told

Islamabad: The Senate is holding a discussion on the terrorist attack that took place on a school bus in Khuzdar on Wednesday. Participating in the debate, the Senators strongly condemned the incident.

According to Radio Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar stated that Indian proxies were behind the Khuzdar terror incident, following a humiliating defeat delivered to India by the armed forces. He said the extremist policy pursued by the BJP government poses a threat to peace and security not only in South Asia but globally. He mentioned the persecution of minorities, especially Muslims, in India.

Taking the floor, Shahzaib Durrani regretted that India, in a cowardly act, resorted to killing innocent children in Khuzdar after failing to face Pakistan's armed forces. He urged the international community to take notice of Indian terrorism.

Faisal Vawda called for enhancing the defense budget in view of the hostile Indian posture. Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui said India is providing resources and weapons to terror groups to carry out terrorism inside Pakistan, stressing that these terrorists deserve no mercy and must be crushed.

Sherry Rehman stated that the Khuzdar terror incident has aggrieved and shocked the entire nation. She noted that India's belligerence is a threat to the region and the world. Aimal Wali Khan emphasized that the National Action Plan against terrorism should be implemented in letter and spirit.

At the outset, the House offered fateha for those martyred in the terrorist incident in Khuzdar.
