Quetta: Balochistan Budget for financial year 2025-26 with a total outlay of 1028 billion rupees was presented on Tuesday. Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani presented the Budget in Balochistan Assembly session in Quetta this afternoon with Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai in the chair.
According to Radio Pakistan, in the new financial year budget, 642 billion rupees have been allocated for non-development expenditures while 249 billion rupees have been allocated for developmental expenditures. Finance Minister Shoaib Noshirwani stated that over 120 billion rupees have been allocated for the Schools section of the Education sector, 29.1 billion rupees for the development of the Higher education sector, and 87 billion rupees for the health sector.
Shoaib Noshirwani added that more than 26 billion rupees have been earmarked for the development of the agriculture sector while more than one billion rupees have been designated for the Food Department.
