Lahore: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has declared that any statement against the country, judiciary, and the armed forces of Pakistan would not be permitted in Parliament.
According to Radio Pakistan, during a visit to the National College of Arts in Lahore, Sadiq clarified that discussions in the National Assembly must remain within the constitutional and legal framework. He emphasized that anyone speaking against Pakistan would be barred from expressing views in the assembly. Sadiq highlighted his impartial role as Speaker, stating he is neither part of the government nor the opposition, but is committed to performing his duties objectively.
He acknowledged the democratic right to protest but stressed that such activities must be peaceful. Addressing Pakistan's economic condition, he remarked on the gradual strengthening of the economy as evidence of economic stability. Sadiq also noted Pakistan's robust relationships with key friendly nations, including the United States, China, Russia, Turkiye, and Saudi Arabia.
