Islamabad: Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday to participate in the Third Trilateral Speakers’ Conference. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq welcomed the distinguished guest at Islamabad Airport.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a bilateral meeting, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the strong bonds of fraternity and friendship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. He noted that the people of Pakistan regard the people of Azerbaijan as their brothers. He highlighted that both nations have consistently supported each other’s positions on regional and international platforms, standing by one another during challenging times.

On the occasion, Sahiba Gafarova expressed her gratitude to the Parliament and the people of Pakistan for their warm hospitality. She remarked that the ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are grounded in mutual respect and brotherhood. She reiterated Azerbaijan’s view of Pakistan as a sincere friend and brother.
