Armed Forces Ready to Respond to Any Misadventure: Senate Informed


Islamabad: The Senate on Friday continued its discussion on the recent escalation of hostilities by India and the swift, resolute, and effective response of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the people, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and dignity of Pakistan. The Senate resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad with presiding officer Sherry Rehman in the chair.



According to Radio Pakistan, participating in the debate, Ali Zafar expressed that the nation is proud of its valiant armed forces for delivering a defeat to India. He emphasized that Pakistan has reemerged as a military power in the region, with its armed forces shattering India’s aspirations of military dominance. He also extended gratitude to friendly countries, including China and Turkiye, for their support during this challenging time.



In his remarks, Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui stated that Pakistan is inherently peace-loving, but stands ready to respond to any misadventure if war is imposed. Bilal Ahmad Khan highlighted the showcase of capabilities by the Pakistan armed forces during Marka-e-Haq, expressing confidence that no entity would dare threaten Pakistan in the future.



Danesh Kumar, speaking on behalf of minorities, commended the armed forces for their response to India and mentioned that their actions have made the nation proud globally. Other speakers on the occasion included Hidayatuallah Khan, Jam Saifullah Khan, Abdul Qadir, Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Raja Nasir Abbas, Humayun Mohmand, and Nasir Mehmoud.



The House has now been adjourned to meet again on Monday at four pm.
