Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has voiced deep concern over New Delhi’s continued brutal tactics in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, aimed at crushing the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for right to self-determination.
According to Radio Pakistan, APHC Spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said India is aggressively replicating Israel’s model of occupation in the territory, resorting to killings, arrests, property demolitions and seizures, and arbitrary dismissals of employees, alongside attempts to alter the territory’s demographic composition to tighten its control.
The APHC urged the international community, particularly the United Nations, to intervene and ensure a just settlement of the long-standing Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions and Kashmiris’ aspirations.
Meanwhile, the National Conference-led government has confirmed that 631 non-locals have acquired land since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019, intensifying fears of a deliberate effort by the Modi regime to permanently alter the territory’s demographic landscape.
This marks the latest confirmation of land transfers to non-locals following the controversial constitutional changes of August 5, 2019, which allowed outsiders to own property in IIOJK.
