Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed grave concern over the violent measures and use of draconian laws by the BJP-led Indian government in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to suppress the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.
According to Radio Pakistan, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the Modi regime for attaching properties of Kashmiris, calling it part of India’s broader anti-Kashmiri policy. He urged international human rights bodies to press New Delhi to end its systematic victimization of those demanding their UN-recognized right to self-determination.
The APHC spokesperson said India has mobilized stooges within and outside occupied Kashmir to defame Pakistan and the indigenous freedom movement, routinely launching baseless propaganda to criminalize resistance through disinformation campaigns. The civil society in Srinagar has demanded the immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris, including prominent human rights defender Khurram Parvez, who has completed four years in unlawful detention.
Thousands of Kashmiris, including Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi, and others, continue to languish in jails across India and occupied Kashmir. Meanwhile, Indian police and the State Investigation Agency have intensified raids and arrests across the Kashmir Valley.
The Pensioners and senior citizens have also raised alarm over worsening conditions for serving and retired Kashmiri employees. Addressing a press conference in Jammu, the employees leaders criticized discriminatory policies of the Modi regime against the Kashmiri employees.
