Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has made an appeal to the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take action against India for what it describes as ongoing atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Radio Pakistan, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas released a statement from Srinagar condemning India’s persistent military presence in the disputed region. He characterized the situation as a methodical campaign of terror and oppression against the Kashmiri people. Minhas highlighted that under India’s governance, residents are consistently deprived of basic rights and face humiliation, arbitrary detentions, torture, and even killings while demanding self-determination.
Further adding to the concerns, a report in the Indian media has highlighted the increasing threats to religious freedom in the occupied territory. The report notes that Indian authorities have stepped up inspections and oversight of mosques and madrassas, with local community committees expressing fears over possible coercive takeovers.
In a related development, the occupation authorities have enacted a two-month ban on VPN services in the Rajouri district, citing efforts to curb anti-India activities as the reason for the restriction.
