Analysts Hail Strong Strategic Partnership Between Pakistan and China

Amb. am shahid (diplomat): Pakistan has strong strategic partnership with China; although Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was in China to attend SCO summit yet he held numerous meetings with top Chinese leadership including President Xi Jinping and others. Actually Pakistan is expanding its cooperation with China over to industrial, agricultural, trade, ICT, mining, mineral and others sectors. This visit has provided us with an opportunity to further cement bilateral ties with China. We are now entering into the second phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and all the projects under CPEC are expected to expand Pakistan’s economy. We hope that investment will continue coming from China and will boost our economy.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Shafqat Munir, an economist, emphasized the significance of Pakistan as a strong partner to China, highlighting the numerous agreements signed between the two countries. Under their robust partnership, Pakistan and China are actively reshaping Asia in various
ways. At the SCO summit, both countries emerged as prominent key players in the region, with the potential to influence the future of Asian countries and propel the continent forward. Both nations advocate for global prosperity and governance.

Dr. Shafqat Munir also noted the necessity for Pakistan to learn from China’s expertise in the agricultural sector. Through strategic trade agreements, Pakistan aims to increase its exports to China, which could help in reducing the trade balance between the two countries.
