Analysts Hail Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s Visit to Pakistan

Islamabad: Analysts have expressed optimism regarding the visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, viewing it as an opportunity to strengthen the fraternal bonds and collaboration between the two neighboring nations. The visit is seen as a gesture of gratitude from Iran towards Pakistan for its support against Israeli actions.

According to Radio Pakistan, former diplomat Amb. Waheed Ahmad emphasized that Pakistan’s political and diplomatic backing against Israeli aggression has been a source of strength for Iran. The visit is expected to focus on discussions around regional peace, trade, and the issue of terrorism in Balochistan. Ahmad highlighted the historical ties between Pakistan and Iran, which are rooted in cultural, linguistic, and religious connections, and noted that the two countries share a border that facilitates economic activity, particularly in Balochistan.

Former diplomat Amb. Naela Chohan remarked that the visit is a bilateral arrangement aimed at addressing various mutual
interests. Both countries, as members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, are committed to enhancing their cooperation in multiple sectors. Chohan pointed out the long-standing diplomatic ties between the two nations, noting that Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan’s sovereignty, which underscores the enduring relationship between them.
