Islamabad: Amb. Waheed Ahmad, a former diplomat, has commended the government for its efforts in sending aid to the people of Gaza. By dispatching this aid consignment, a strong message is being sent to Israel, indicating support for the Palestinian people. The initiative reflects a broader global sentiment, with many rational individuals supporting Gaza’s residents amidst ongoing conflicts.
According to Radio Pakistan, several countries and non-governmental organizations are actively participating in sending relief and aid to Gaza. This collective effort aims to convey to the aggressors that the issue will not conclude as they plan. Given that Pakistan does not share borders with Palestine or Israel, aid consignments are being channeled through UN aid agencies operating in Gaza. Furthermore, there is a call to exert pressure through the UN Security Council on Israel to lift its blockade on Gaza and cease its aggression against the Palestinians.
The former diplomat emphasized the importance of coordinating with international NGOs to amplify the message globally. This cooperation aims to ensure that both Pakistan’s and Palestinians’ voices are heard and understood clearly across the world.
