Gujarawala: Dr. Abdullah Gul, a defence analyst, has asserted that fake propaganda by hostile elements cannot demoralize Pakistan’s professional armed forces. He emphasized that the forces are trained both physically and mentally to counter such tactics, maintaining composure and calmness in psychological warfare.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chief of Defence Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the Gujaranwala and Sialkot Garrisons, which are strategically positioned to safeguard the border with India. These sectors have historically seen incursions from India. The visit is particularly significant due to the current thick fog in the area, which India might exploit to implement its cold start doctrine. Dr. Gul expressed concerns over potential covert strikes by India under the cover of fog, as well as internal threats from fake propaganda spread by paid social media activists.
The analyst highlighted the need for Pakistan’s relevant organizations, including ISPR and ISI, to counter Indian plans effectively. He mentioned that although terrorists failed to attack Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, they targeted Balochistan instead. Dr. Gul stated that terrorists lack courage against Pakistan’s forces and deserve only a humiliating defeat. He advised against having a soft corner for Afghanistan, noting the absence of pro-Pakistan voices there, but recommended continuing talks to resolve differences.
Dr. Gul identified social media as a new challenge and form of warfare, urging Pakistan to equip itself to counter this threat. He called for global support to shut down anti-Pakistan social media accounts operated from India and other countries.
