Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has emphasized that the development and prosperity of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) is the foremost priority of the federal government.

According to Radio Pakistan, while chairing a meeting, Muqam asserted that it is the government’s responsibility to address the legitimate issues faced by the people. He highlighted that the government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to this cause in the past and is determined to continue doing so in the future.

Muqam further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the development of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan remains a key focus. Additionally, he expressed concerns about the security and human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, describing it as alarming.

The Minister also paid tribute to the sacrifices made by Kashmiris, reaffirming that Pakistan will persist in extending moral, political, and diplomatic support to them until they secure their right to self-determination.
