In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the 19th anniversary of the 2005 earthquake will be observed tomorrow to express solidarity with victims. The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for high ranks of the martyrs' souls, the prosperity and development of Pakistan and the early liberation of the Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir. The Main Prayer Ceremony will be held at the AJK university ground Muzaffarabad near the Martyrs' Memorial wherein the Prime Minister AJK Ch. Anwar-ul-Haq will be the chief guest. He will place a bouquet of flowers at the Martyrs' Memorial. All three stations of Azad Kashmir Radio will broadcast documentaries and discussions on the observance of the day. The deadly earthquake on 8 October 2005 killed almost 87,350 people, injured 138,000 and left over 3.5 million homeless with widespread damage to infrastructure and buildings. Source: Radio Pakistan
