Islamabad: Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, met with Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting between the two leaders focused on matters of mutual interest, the regional maritime security situation, and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation in training and defense. Admiral Naveed Ashraf emphasized the Pakistan Navy’s efforts to ensure maritime security and promote peace in the region through initiatives such as the Regional Maritime Security Patrols.
Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar expressed his appreciation for the Pakistan Navy’s contributions and their steadfast commitment to collaborative maritime security efforts. Both leaders agreed to strengthen and broaden the scope of the existing bilateral defense relationship.
The visit by the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Armed Forces is anticipated to further boost bilateral collaboration between the two countries.
