Lahore: The 3rd Chief of Army Staff National Inter-Club Championship 2026 is currently underway, focusing on promoting the national sport of hockey across the country as part of the Chief of Army Staff Talent Hunt Program. According to Radio Pakistan, the championship is structured in phases, starting from district level and progressing to national level. The initial phase, ongoing at the district level, features 718 teams from 81 districts and is set to conclude on Saturday. The subsequent division-level phase will take place from the 27th of this month to the 2nd of next month, with 81 teams from 27 divisions competing. The provincial-level phase is scheduled from the 6th to the 13th of next month, involving 27 top clubs from all four provinces, along with teams from Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, and the federal capital. The competition will conclude with the national-level phase from the 17th to the 28th of next month, where 11 premier clubs from across the regions will vie for the title at the Jinnah Sports Complex in Lahore. In total, 20 matches will be played at the national level, culminating in the final match of the championship on the 28th of next month in Lahore.
