2nd Clean Air Roundtable: Driving Collaborative Solutions for Pakistan’s Air Quality Crisis

Islamabad: A high-level dialogue convened key stakeholders from academia, research institutions, and government agencies to address the growing air pollution challenge in Pakistan. The session featured a keynote address by Ms. Aisha Moriani, Secretary, MoCC and EC, who emphasized the urgency of adopting integrated approaches to tackle air quality and environmental health.

According to National University of Sciences and Technology, discussions focused on three main areas: reflecting on insights from the first roundtable, strengthening data sharing practices, and showcasing institutional capabilities in air quality monitoring and analysis. Participants collectively recommended enhancing inter-institutional data sharing frameworks, investing in localized sensor networks, and leveraging artificial intelligence to support real-time, evidence-based policy responses.

NUST remains committed to advancing clean air solutions through research, innovation, and sustained dialogue.
