Govt Implements Strategic Measures to Avert Economic Crisis: Muqam


Islamabad: Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam has highlighted the government’s recent strategic measures aimed at steering the country away from an economic default and securing financial stability. He made these remarks during the oath-taking ceremony of the All Pakistan Government Employees Confederation held in Islamabad on Saturday.



According to Radio Pakistan, Muqam emphasized the importance of the government’s decisions, noting their impact on reducing inflation and the policy rate, as well as boosting remittances. These moves are part of a broader effort to stabilize the national economy and ensure continued growth.



The Minister also acknowledged the challenges faced by government employees, affirming the Prime Minister’s commitment to alleviating their difficulties. PM Inquires After Health of Senior Journalist Altaf Hassan


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today inquired after the health of seniorIjournalist and editor of Urdu Digest Altaf Hassan Qureshi: The Prime Minister spoke to the ailing journalist over the phone and prayed for his early recovery.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken a personal interest in the well-being of Altaf Hassan Qureshi by instructing a team of medical experts to provide the best medical facilities available to the senior journalist.

Pak Navy to Conduct Exercise Sea Guard-II in October


Karachi: Pakistan Navy is conducting Exercise Sea Guard 2025 Edition II from 24th to 28th of this month. The exercise aims to evaluate the existing security procedures through all stakeholders in Pakistan’s maritime region.



According to Radio Pakistan, the exercise is being held to address various maritime challenges such as illegal fishing, narcotics smuggling, human trafficking, and climate change. In a special message on the occasion of Exercise Sea Guard 2025, Commander Coast, Rear Admiral Faisal Amin highlighted the importance of Pakistan’s coastal belt, which spans over a thousand kilometers and is enriched with natural resources.



He noted that the Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Center was established in 2013 to provide a platform for all stakeholders in the maritime domain. Rear Admiral Faisal Amin mentioned that more than fifty stakeholders participated in the Exercise Sea Guard 2024, demonstrating their trust in the Pakistan Navy’s efforts toward achieving the shared objective of maritime security.



The exercise is expected to enhance joint operational capabilities and address emerging challenges to maritime security, serving as a milestone in Pakistan Navy’s strategic initiatives.

Death Anniversary of Poet Josh Malihabadi Observed


Islamabad: The 43rd death anniversary of legendary poet Shabbir Hassan Khan, popularly known as Josh Malihabadi, was observed today. He was born in 1898 in Malihabad. Josh contributed poetic works in Urdu and was given the title of “Poet of revolution and youth”.



According to Radio Pakistan, Josh Malihabadi wrote numerous books comprising poems and ghazals and also wrote some books of prose. He was posthumously awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz in 2013. He died on this day in 1982.

Hundreds of Islamic Books Seized from Shops in IIOJK


Srinagar: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hundreds of Islamic books have been seized from various shops. The reason behind the confiscation was that these books were published by New Delhi-based Markazi Maktaba Islami Publishers, which is associated with Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.



According to Radio Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami leaders have strongly condemned the confiscation, stating that this action is not only unjust but also unconstitutional and a blatant violation of fundamental rights. They emphasized that imposing such restrictions is unacceptable in any civilized society.



The confiscation of Islamic books by the Modi government is seen as another clear example of its anti-Muslim ideology, further fueling tensions in the region. The Jamaat-e-Islami leaders have urged for the immediate reversal of this decision and called for respect of religious freedom and fundamental rights in the area.
