Pakistan, Iran FMs Discuss Middle East Situation


Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says Pakistan shall continue to support the establishment of a sovereign, independent, and contiguous Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. He stated this during a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi. They exchanged views on the situation in Middle East with a particular focus on the continuing plight of Palestinians in Gaza.



According to Radio Pakistan, commenting on the proposal to displace the people of Gaza, the Deputy Prime Minister termed it as deeply troubling and unjust. He emphasized that the Palestinian land belongs to the Palestinian people and the only viable and just option is the two-state solution, in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions. Ishaq Dar also conveyed Pakistan’s support for convening of an Extraordinary OIC meeting of Foreign Ministers to deliberate upon this issue. Both sides agreed to maintain close contact on these developments in the days ahead.

Pakistan Regains Its Lost Position in Int’l Community: Mashhood


Lahore: Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan says Pakistan has regained its lost position in the international community. Addressing a public gathering in Lahore, he highlighted the decline in inflation from forty percent to four percent, crediting it to the PML-N Government’s economic policies.



According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is representing Muslims globally, strengthening Pakistan’s position on the international stage.

Pakistan Desires to Strengthen Ties with UK: Aurangzeb


Lisbon: Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb has expressed the desire to work for more robust relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. He conveyed this sentiment during a meeting with British Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Middle East, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, Hamish Falconer, in Lisbon, Portugal.



According to Radio Pakistan, matters of mutual interest, including investment opportunities in Pakistan’s energy, minerals, and infrastructure sectors, were discussed during the meeting. Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted that Pakistan and the United Kingdom have enjoyed close and cordial relations marked by mutual trust and engagement.



The meeting also acknowledged the role of people-to-people contacts through the Pakistani diaspora in fostering the bilateral relationship.

Pakistan Dispatches Humanitarian Aid to War-Hit Regions


Karachi: The Government of Pakistan is continuing to send humanitarian aid to the war-affected population of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria. On directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the National Disaster Management Authority, in collaboration with Al-Khidmat Foundation, has dispatched another relief consignment.



According to Radio Pakistan, the consignment weighs approximately fifty tons and is intended for the war-affected people of these regions. The send-off ceremony took place at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi, with senior officials from NDMA, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Al-Khidmat Foundation in attendance.



The aid was sent through a chartered flight from Karachi to Jordan. It includes tin meat, powdered milk, hygiene kits, clothing, blankets, tents, and sleeping bags.



In total, over one thousand and eight hundred tons of relief items have been dispatched to the affected people of Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.

Security Forces Eliminate Seven Khwarij in DI Khan, North Waziristan


Islamabad: Security forces have killed seven Khwarij during intelligence-based operations in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province: Security forces have killed seven Khwarij during intelligence-based operations in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.



According to Radio Pakistan, the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the general area Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan District on the reported presence of the Khwarij. During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location, as a result of which, three Khawarij, including Kharji Rehmat, were killed, while two Khwarij got injured.



Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area Mir Ali, North Waziristan District. In ensuing fire exchange, four Khwarij were killed, while three Khwarij got injured.



Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
