PM Shehbaz in Muzaffarabad on Day-Long Visit to AJK


Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Muzaffarabad on a day-long visit to Azad Kashmir. Upon arrival at the AJK Legislative Assembly, a guard of honour was presented to the Prime Minister.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister will address the Legislative Assembly of Azad Kashmir. He will also meet with the leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference.

Pakistan Mourns the Passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan


Islamabad: Pakistan has extended its deepest condolences on the passing of Prince Karim Al-Hussaini Aga Khan IV. In a statement today, the Foreign Office described the spiritual leader, statesman, visionary, and philanthropist as a unifying figure in a fragmented world. His life was marked by service to humanity, transcending barriers of race, gender, ethnicity, or religion. His enduring legacy of philanthropy is expected to continue inspiring generations to come.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Foreign Office emphasized that as the founder of the world’s largest private international development organization, Aga Khan IV was a beacon of hope for the underprivileged and vulnerable globally. His vision led to significant achievements in education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.



The statement further expressed a fond remembrance of Prince Karim Aga Khan’s special connection with Pakistan, highlighting his unforgettable contributions to the development of its people. It also paid tribute to his grandfather, Sultan Mohammed Shah Aga Khan, for his role in the independence movement and the creation of Pakistan, as well as his father, Prince Aly Khan, for his service as Pakistan’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.



The people of Pakistan extend heartfelt condolences to Prince Karim Aga Khan’s family and the Ismaili community worldwide during this time of sorrow and grief.

PM Reaffirms Support for Kashmiris’ Right to Self-Determination


Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that Pakistan will continue its unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for the Kashmiri people until they achieve their right to self-determination, in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions.



According to Radio Pakistan, during a meeting with the leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Muzaffarabad, Sharif emphasized that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is a cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and will remain so. He urged the international community to take action against India’s aggression and human rights violations in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Sharif assured that the sacrifices of Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination will not go in vain.



The Prime Minister tasked Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam with formulating a strategy to address the concerns and issues of refugees in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The APHC leaders praised the Prime Minister and the Government of Pakistan for expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris and commended their unwavering support for the Kashmir freedom movement. They also appreciated the Prime Minister’s efforts in highlighting the Kashmir dispute at the United Nations platform.
