Shehbaz Sharif Mourns the Passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Prince Karim Aga Khan. In a post on his X handle, he described Prince Karim Aga Khan as a man of vision, faith, and generosity whose enduring legacy will continue to inspire generations. His contributions transcended borders, bringing hope and progress to communities in need.



According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif praised Prince Karim Aga Khan as a remarkable leader dedicated to uplifting communities worldwide. Through his tireless efforts in poverty alleviation, healthcare, and gender equality, he championed the cause of the marginalized, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.



In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences over the tragic gun violence incident at a school in Orebro, Sweden, which claimed many innocent lives. He conveyed his thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families, and the entire community during this difficult time.



Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also expressed grief over Prince Karim Aga Khan’s passing. In a statement, he highlighted the prince’s unwavering dedication to philanthropy and global community betterment, acknowledging his special attachment to Pakistan and his matchless contributions to the country’s development and progress.

PM Urges India to Resolve Kashmir Dispute as per UN Resolutions


Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unflinching and continuous political, diplomatic, and moral support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination. Addressing the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad, he paid glowing tributes to the Kashmir martyrs and Hurriyat leadership for rendering matchless sacrifices for independence.



According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the founder of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam, had already declared Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan. He assured that Pakistan would never remain silent while Kashmiris continue to endure Indian atrocities.



The Prime Minister called on India to cease the implementation of oppressive laws, extrajudicial killings of Kashmiri youth, incarceration of Hurriyat leadership, and demographic changes in IIOJK. He cautioned that Pakistan’s quest for peace should not be mistaken for weakness, given its status as a nuclear power.



He urged India to seek an amicable resolution to the protracted Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He highlighted the responsibility of the international community, peace-loving nations, and organizations to exert pressure on India to allow the Kashmiri people to freely determine their future.



The Prime Minister also committed to allocating resources for the rapid development of AJK, enhancing travel, health, and education facilities for its residents. He announced the opening of Danish Schools in various districts of AJK.

Pak Embassy France Organizes Event to Mark Kashmir Solidarity Day


Paris: The Embassy of Pakistan in France organized a special event today marking the Kashmir Solidarity Day. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch voiced strong support for the Kashmiri people in their just struggle against Indian occupation and oppression. She rebuffed India’s efforts to tarnish the image of the Kashmiri freedom movement, terming the movement as peaceful and legitimate and based on the UNSC resolutions.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Ambassador called on India to take concrete and meaningful steps for the full implementation of UNSC resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir. She appreciated the role being played by the Pakistani and Kashmiri community living in France for supporting the Kashmir cause.

Federal Ministers Reaffirm Support to Kashmiri People


Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination. In his televised message on Kashmir Solidarity Day, he highlighted that the implementation on UN Security Council resolutions has been delayed due to Indian intransigence. He called on the international community to honour its commitments to the Kashmiri people.



According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar strongly condemned the atrocities committed by India in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will not be in vain. Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, expressing his belief that the day is not far when their dream will be realized. He said Pakistan will never backtrack from its principled position on the Kashmir dispute.



Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam stated that the aim of observing Kashmir Solidarity Day is to send a message that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and to highlight Indian atrocities in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Minister for Power Awais Leghari remarked that Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is the most militarized zone in the world where humanity is being murdered. He said Pakistan will continue to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day until the Kashmiri people get the right to self-determination.



Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sana Ullah Khan urged the world community to raise its voice for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that India should be compelled to accept the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

Pakistan, China Agree to Enhance Intelligence Sharing


Beijing: Pakistan and China have agreed to further improve intelligence sharing. This agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Chinese counterpart Qi Yanjun in Beijing.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two officials also focused on increasing cooperation between the Beijing Police and Islamabad Police. As part of this initiative, Pakistan plans to purchase modern technology and equipment for its police force from China.



Additionally, both sides discussed strategies to enhance security along the border shared by the two countries, aiming to bolster mutual safety and collaboration.
