Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said the European Union and Germany's support for Pakistan's Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector would empower the youth with enhanced skills, leading to better employment opportunities. Addressing the National TVET Competition for Excellence in Islamabad, he praised the role of international agencies in providing technical support for youth skills programmes in Pakistan. Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the need of political stability for the country's development, stating that everyone must work together for a better future. He was addressing the ceremony of Golden Jubilee of Paigham-e-Pakistan in Lahore today. The Minister highlighted the importance of unity and collective efforts to put Pakistan on the path to progress. He said in the past, Muslims ruled over the world by adhering to the teachings of the Quran. Ahsan Iqbal said three decades ago, Pakistan was a leading country in South Asia in terms of development, and many countries have since progressed by adopting Pakistan's policies. He stressed that Pakistanis have immense potential and it is essential for everyone to contribute to societal improvement. He said that incidents that took place in Jaranwala, Sargodha, and Swat have tarnished Pakistan's image globally. Condemning terrorism, he said terrorist acts have no place in Islam. Ahsan Iqbal urged religious scholars to play their role in countering terrorism and preventing the country's defamation. Passing out parade of 121st Midshipmen and 29th Short Service Commission Course was held at Pakistan Naval Academy in Karachi. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest on the occasion. According to Pakistan Television, 70 midshipmen and 28 short service commission officers passed out today after successful training. The chief guest distributed prizes to the outstanding performers. Midshipman Abdullah Waheed received Sword of Honour, while Midshipman Aftab Ahmed was awarded Academy Dirk. Officer Cadet Muhammad Khubaib was decorated with Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gold Medal and Officer cadet Muhammad Danish was awarded Commandant Gold Medal. Addressing the ceremony Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf said Pakistan Navy is imparting training to cadets from the friendly countries. He said that inclusion of cadets from friendly countries in the course is a manifestation of Pakistan Navy's high standards and proficiency. Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faez Isa has emphasized access to justice for all segments of society. He was addressing a symposium titled 'Inclusive Justice' in Islamabad today. The Chief Justice said Constitution of Pakistan embodies clear provisions for protection of women, children and marginalized segments of the society. He underscored the need for implementation of laws for ensuring justice and promoting inclusivity in society. The Chief Justice said laws in Pakistan conform to the principles and teachings of Islam.
