Info Minister condemns killing of PML-N worker in Narowal

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has condemned the killing of PML-N worker Muhammad Yousuf in Narowal. In a statement today, he said the deceased was associated with the Pakistan Muslim-League Nawaz. He said the PTI is resorting to bloodshed and vandalism to rig elections. The Minister said the blood of the deceased PML-N worker will not go in vain and his assassins will be brought to the justice. Commiserating with the bereaved family of Muhammad Yousuf, Attaullah Tarar also prayed higher status in heaven for the departed soul. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz says the killers PML-N worker Muhammad Yousaf of Narowal have been arrested. In a statement, she said that hooliganism of PTI would not be tolerated at any cost. She expressed condolences and heartfelt sympathy with the family of Muhammad Yousaf She said that turning politics into hatred and personal enmity is a major challenge for society. Pakistan dispatches 8th tranche of humanitarian assistance for Gaza

Minister for Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar says Pakistan dispatched eighth tranche of humanitarian assistance for the people of Gaza. According to a post on his X account, he said that four hundred tons assistance consisted of winterized tents, tarpaulins, blankets, medicines and food supplies. Ishaq Dar said that the shipment would be received by the Pakistani Ambassador at Port Said, Egypt and handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent for onward delivery to the people of Gaza. He further said that Pakistan remains committed to addressing the urgent humanitarian needs of Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza. Meanwhile, a handing over ceremony was organized at Karachi port today where Palestinian Ambassador Ahmad Rabaie received the shipment. Additional Foreign Secretary, Ambassador Ahmed Amjad Ali, Representatives of National Disaster management Authority and various relief organizations were also present at the ceremony. CEC directs for provision of copies of Form-45 to polling agents

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja has instructed that copies of Form-45 should be provided to the polling agents of all candidates. He telephonically talked to the four provincial chief secretaries and provincial election commissioners and directed them to ensure peaceful and transparent bye-elections. He also contacted the regional election commissioners of all the sensitive constituencies, deputy commissioners and Returning Officers and emphasized to ensure monitoring and transparency of the polling process. Besides, the Chief Commissioner urged all the contesting candidates to instruct their polling agents to ensure obtaining copy of the Form-45 from the concerned Presiding Officer.
