Female Police Officers Will Be Stationed at Front Desk in Karachi’s District East

As per the directive from SSP District East, Dr. Farrukh Raza, female personnel are now stationed at the front desks of police stations and offices throughout District East. According to officials, SP Jamshed Division, Alina Rajpar, is leading the thorough supervision of female personnel stationed at the front desks across District East. In District East, female staff members have been appointed as liaison duty officers, working alongside head office and duty officers, to offer direct assistance to female complainants. District East Police has put these measures in place to enhance support and improve access for women at police stations. The District East Police highlighted that these efforts will strengthen women's trust in law enforcement and contribute to reducing crimes against them. Passing Out parade of cadets held at PMA Kakul

Passing Out parade of cadets of 149th PMA Long Course, 14th Mujahid Course, 68th Integrated Course and 23rd Lady Cadet Course was held at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul today. 49 Cadets from friendly countries were also among the passed out cadets. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was the Chief Guest while General Metin Grak, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, was Guest of Honour. Speaking on the occasion, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza said the PMA has remained the cradle of leadership and center of excellence for cadets joining the premier institution of Army. He said today's parade serves as an illustrious example of military discipline at its finest and reflects the sterling ethos of the Academy and Pakistan Army alike. Meanwhile, the coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Muhammad Nauman Abdullah and President's Gold medal to Company Senior Under Officer Muhammad Abdullah Javed of 149th PMA Long Course. The Chairman Jo int Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Friendly Country Senior Under Officer Fahad Bin Aqil Al Towarqi Al Fallaj from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sindh Govt Upgrades Primary Schools to Elementary Schools

Government primary schools in Sindh have been upgraded to the status of elementary schools, as per a decision made during a meeting chaired by the Sindh Education Minister. This move comes after a review of the performance of the Sindh Education Foundation. The meeting decided to elevate the status of government primary schools to that of elementary schools, with a dedicated strategy in the works. The Education Minister announced a phased approach to upgrade primary schools to decrease drop-out rates. Furthermore, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has tasked the minister with a special mission to minimize the number of students leaving school. During the meeting, Education Minister Sardar Shah announced that the upcoming academic year would be dedicated to emphasizing the importance of science education. He highlighted that there are currently 874,000 students enrolled in 2,566 schools under the Sindh Education Foundation. Earlier this year, the Sindh High Court (SHC) had given two months to the education depa rtment to reopen government schools that had been shut down due to insufficient resources. Following a detailed report by Justice Salahuddin from the SHC, highlighting the dire state of government schools in Sindh, the court ruled to reopen these schools. Syedal Khan pledges full support to PCP to curb false, fabricated news

Chairman of the Press Council of Pakistan Arshad Khan Jadoon called on Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Syedal Khan Nasir in Islamabad today. Naanbai Association Ends Protest Against Roti Prices

The All Pakistan Naanbai Association called off their strike on Friday evening following assurances from the district administration. They agreed to sell Roti at Rs. 16 and Naan at Rs. 20, with the condition that their union leader would be released. The decision was announced after a meeting between the association delegation and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema following Friday prayers. The delegation, led by All Pakistan Naanbai Association Secretary General Khursheed Qureshi, reached this agreement. Despite Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's announcement that Roti would be sold for Rs. 16 and Naan for Rs. 20 across the province starting Sunday, the roti makers had refused to comply with the directive. The All Pakistan Naanbai Association Secretary General Khursheed Qureshi told a national daily that the association met with the district administration. During the meeting, it was agreed that both roti and naan would be sold at the prices set by the government. 'We will sell Roti at Rs16 a nd Naan at Rs20 from Saturday (today) in all tandoors. We gave the call to strike following the detention of association president Shafique Qureshi; the district administration will release him on Saturday (today),' he said. Khursheed Qureshi also added that while they had no objection to reducing the price of roti to Rs16, there were some concerns regarding the price of naan, which would be addressed soon. He stated that all tandoors had reopened following successful negotiations with the administration. In a video released by the provincial government, Qureshi announced to end the strike. Amir Muqam stresses dignified return of Afghan refugees

Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Engineer Amir Muqam has stressed the importance of ensuring dignified return of Afghan nationals to their country. During a visit to the Office of Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees in Lahore today, he said that Pakistan currently hosts one point four million Proof of Registration cardholders, eight hundred thousand Afghan Citizen Card and many undocumented Afghan nationals. He also met with a delegation from the Afghan refugee business community, who expressed their gratitude for the facilities provided to them. Later, the Minister toured various sections of the Afghan Refugees Commissionerate Punjab Office, reviewed the services provided there, and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.
