President greets Iranian Counterpart on Eid-ul-Fitr

President Asif Ali Zardari and President of Iran, Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, held a telephonic conversation and exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. During the conversation, President Asif Ali Zardari offered his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Iranian leadership and the bereaved families who lost their dear ones in the Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus. The President expressed his concern over the humanitarian crisis and the genocide being committed by the Israeli forces and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. President Asif Ali Zardari assured his Iranian counterpart that Pakistan would continue to work with Iran in all areas of mutual interest to further boost bilateral cooperation. He underlined the need to enhance the exchange of information to overcome the security challenges being faced by the two countries. Bahawalnagar incident addressed through military, police joint efforts: ISPR

The unfortunate Bahawalnagar incident was promptly addressed and resolved through collaborative efforts of military and police authorities. According to ISPR, despite this, certain factions with vested motives started fanning vitriolic propaganda on social media to create divisions between state institutions and government departments. To ensure a fair and deliberate inquiry, and to determine responsibility for violation of laws and misuse of authority, a joint inquiry comprising security and police officials will be conducted for ascertaining the facts and apportioning responsibility. Naqvi voices satisfaction over security situation

Interior Minister Moshin Naqvi has expressed satisfaction over security situation across the country on Eid days. In a statement, he praised the hard work of law enforcement agencies and departments to ensure fool proof security for peaceful Eid congregations and ceremonies. Mohsin Naqvi said security personnel sacrificed their own moments of joy for bringing smiles on people's faces. ADB’s report validates correct economic policies: Cheema

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Cheema has termed the Asian Development Outlook report for April 2024 as a validation of the government's correct economic policies. In a statement issued by Economic Affairs Division in Islamabad, he said the report portrayed positive prospects for Pakistan's economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Minister said that the government had started working towards a stable and sustainable economy. He said that inflation was decreasing in the country and this had also been confirmed by global financial institutions. Ahad Cheema said the government had been working to improve financial discipline and promote investment for better business environment in the country. The minister said the government was committed in implementing the recommendations of the ADB and continue to work towards building an economy where opportunities are available for all Pakistanis. The Outlook Report estimated a growth rate of two point eight percent for Pakista n in the forthcoming financial year and also predicted a decline of inflation up to fifteen percent. China signs agreements with two Pakistani partners for renewable energy development

CHINT Power of China has signed cooperation agreements with two Pakistani partners to provide a strong impetus for renewable energy development in the country. According to the agreements, CHINT Power will provide optical storage system products and solutions, including inverters, and will also offer technical and service support to the two trading companies.
