Security forces kill two terrorists in South Waziristan IBO

Security Forces killed two terrorists in an intelligence based operation in South Waziristan today. According to ISPR, during conduct of the operation weapons along with a large quantity of explosives were also recovered from killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country. Massive Discount Announced on Train Tickets During Eid Holidays

Pakistan Railways has announced a massive discount on train tickets during the Eid holidays. According to the official notification, there will be a 25% discount on fares of all passenger trains and classes. The facility can be availed on all three days of Eid. Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is set to gather today in Islamabad to sight the Shawwal moon. Chairman Committee Mufti Abdul Kabir Azad will lead the gathering. The central gathering will be assisted by all zonal committees. On the other hand, the holidays for Eid ul Fitr will kick off tomorrow. Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani of PPP takes oath as Chairman Senate

Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani of PPP has taken oath as the Chairman of Senate. Presiding Officer Ishaq Dar administered him the oath. Earlier, Presiding Officer Ishaq Dar announced Yusuf Raza Gilani's election to the office unopposed as no other candidate filed nomination papers. Taking the chair, Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani expressed his gratitude to the PPP and the allied parties for reposing confidence in him. He said he will be the chairman of the whole house and his ambition is to build bridges, enable dialogue and provide a space for meaningful and robust discussion. He said that he will not compromise on the dignity of the house. The Chairman Senate however regretted that there certain elements who seek to incite divide and hatred. He said the PPP has always preferred the politics of reconciliation and the welfare of the people. Later, Saidal Khan Nasar took oath as the Deputy Chairman Senate, who was also elected unopposed as no other candidate submitted nomination papers. Chairman Senate Sy ed Yusuf Raza Gilani administered him the oath. Leader of the House Ishaq Dar and JUI (F) leader Atta-ur-Rehman felicitated Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on his election as the Chairman Senate. CM Balochistan Launches Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program

To advance educational opportunities and pay homage to the sacrifices of martyrs, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced the launch of the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Programme in the province. CM Bugti stated that as part of this groundbreaking initiative, the provincial government is committed to providing unwavering support for the educational requirements of martyrs' children. 'The state will assume the role of a nurturing guardian, ensuring that educational expenses from nursery to higher education are fully covered under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship,' he added. Chief Minister Bugti directed the interior ministry to thoroughly compile data on all individuals honored as martyrs. Furthermore, the CM also announced full scholarships for ambitious students from Balochistan to pursue doctoral studies in cutting-edge scientific fields at 200 esteemed universities worldwide. Moreover, as a part of the extensive scholarship program, the top ten position holders in matric examinations fr om each district will be offered opportunities for higher education in the country. In a bid to foster inclusivity, Chief Minister Bugti unveiled plans for an equal distribution of scholarships. He stated that each year, fifty percent of the allocations would go to minorities and transgender individuals across all educational levels, from nursery to master's degree programs.
