Mohsin directs to expedite construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road Project

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed authorities concerned to expedite the construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road Project by hiring the additional workforce.

He gave these directions during his visit to the site of Khalsa Khorad Adiala Interchange last night.

He asked to bring more machinery and dumpers in order to accelerate the earth work and further directed NESPAK to complete the drawing work of the project on fast track basis.

Later, the Chief Minister was briefed about the project by FWO officials.

It is pertinent to mention that Rawalpindi Ring Road Project consists of six-lane with 38.3 kilometer long highway.

Urs of Great Sufi Saint Hazrat Khawja Ghulam Farid RA begins in Kot Mithan

A three-day 126th annual urs of Great Sufi Saint Hazrat Khawja Ghulam Farid RA began in Kot Mithan, district Rajan Pur today.

Director General Auqaf Punjab Asif Ali Farrukh, Deputy Commissioner Rajan Pur Dr.Mansoor Ahmad Balouch and family members of caretaker family inaugurated the urs celebration with performing the ablution of the mausoleum and offering the wreath ceremony.

Prayers were offered for the Peace, development, prosperity of the country and independence of Kashmir and Palestine.

Mahafils of waaz, naat, qirat and samaa will be held during the three days urs.

Iranian Consul General calls on Sindh CM in Karachi

Consul General of Iran Hasan Noorian called on Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar in Karachi on Saturday.

The matters of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral relations came under discussion during the meeting.

Iranian Consul General said 80 thousand visas are being issued every year from Iranian Consulate in Karachi.

He further said Tehran and Isfahan Chambers of Commerce has entered into a MoU with Karachi Chamber of Commerce and this MoU will open up new trade opportunities.

He further said Iran will be able to send fruits, vegetables and petroleum products to Pakistan.

Iranian Consul General said land routes between Iran, Iraq and Oman will open the door to tourism and if any investor from Iran or Pakistan comes forward, we will start free service.

The Chief Minister and Consul General condemned the Israeli aggression on Palestine.

No plan to privatize schools in Punjab: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has categorically stated that there is no plan to privatize schools in the province.

Talking to media persons in Rawalpindi, he said this matter has never been under consideration and he also commended the dedicated teachers who continue their valuable service amidst baseless rumors.

Earlier, the Chief Minister paid visit to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital where he reviewed the ongoing construction progress of the OPD and Psychiatry Block.

In order to ensure the transparency, Mohsin Naqvi instructed the preparation of a detailed list of items to be procured during the construction process.

On this occasion, he also announced the substantial budget of 1.75 billion rupees for the construction and repair work of the Holy Family Hospital .

Education Ecosystem to bring positive change in Balochistan: CM Domki

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has said that Education Ecosystem will bring about a positive change in education system.

He said during a high level briefing on Balochistan Digital Roadmap, 2030 in Quetta on Saturday.

He directed to take steps to establish database and its ownership at Provincial level.

The Chief Minister said work is underway for promotion of Information Technology Industry in the province.

SAPM calls for encouraging foreign investment in local manufacturing

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Investment, Muhammad Tahir Javed, inaugurated the 77th Edition of the "Pakistan Life Style and Furniture Expo" today at the Expo Center in Lahore.

Minister of State emphasized the government's commitment to encouraging foreign investment in local manufacturing to boost Pakistan's exports. He also shared plans to increase the access of Pakistani furniture products to the United States market.

The Pakistan Life Style and Furniture Expo serves as an important platform for promoting the country's furniture industry and showcasing local manufacturers' products to international buyers. The 77th edition has attracted over 150 exhibitors from across Pakistan.

The Minister said such events facilitate foreign investment which will help strengthen Pakistan's economy, create employment, and promote growth in key export industries like furniture.
