Moody and Manjrekar Pick Pakistani Stars That Could Potentially Play IPL

Former renowned cricketers, Sanjay Manjrekar and Tom Moody have shared their thoughts on the potential of Pakistani cricketers in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

During a discussion about the IPL prospects for Pakistani players, both the former cricketers highlighted several individuals who could attract significant bids in the league.

The former Indian cricketer singled out the right-arm pacer, Haris Rauf, acclaimed for his exceptional skills in the death overs, as a player who could command a hefty price tag.

Sanjay Manjrekar also expressed his interest in the opening batter Fakhar Zaman, believing that his hard-hitting abilities and consistency could captivate IPL franchises.

“Mohammad Rizwan is somebody who plays the anchor’s role. Sometimes, I tend to get worried when Babar Azam and Rizwan bat together,” added Manjrekar.

Meanwhile, Tom Moody recognized star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, Babar Azam, Rizwan, and Shadab Khan as fantastic players, particularly in the T20 format.

Rally held in Islamabad to mark World Bicycle Day

To commemorate World Bicycle Day, a rally was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad today.

A large number of people including Ambassadors, women and children participated in the event.

The Cyclers pedal their cycles from D-Chowk to Serena Hotel on Saturday evening.

Speaking on the occasion ambassador of Turkmenistan Atadjan Movlamov said that the aim of this exercise was to disseminate awareness among the masses about the benefits of cycling. He said the United Nations declared 3rd June as World Bicycle Day by the efforts of his country.

Italy, Pakistan bond strengthening with time: Ambassador Ferrarese

Pakistan and Italy have agreed to broaden and diversify bilateral relations, particularly in the field of economic cooperation.

This was stated by Ambassador of Italy Andreas Ferrarese while addressing a ceremony marking National Day of the Italy in Islamabad on Friday.

The Ambassador said that two sides agreed to establish a joint framework to deal with climate change and cooperation, water management to deal with climate change.

Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said both Pakistan and Italy enjoy excellent relations which are poised to grow more in the coming days.

The minister said Pakistan duly recognizes the Italian goodwill gesture and seeks to further expand these relations.

He said Italy is an important country in the European Union which always supported Pakistan be it GSP plus or any other issue.

Govt delivered on all sovereign commitments at huge political cost: Dar

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said the government will come up with new ideas in the weeks to come for the long term economic improvement.

Talking to a delegation of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he vowed to collectively steer the country out of current economic challenges.

The Finance Minister said we will bring agriculture revolution, establish a sovereign wealth fund and the IT sector will be focused. He said we will do the things which were ignored in the past.

Ishaq Dar said the delay in the IMF program is unprecedented as there is no technical reason behind it.

The Finance Minister once again ruled out the default and regretted the statements being made by certain elements within the country in this regard. He said Pakistan is a solvent country having assets worth trillions of dollars. He said our external liabilities are around one hundred billion dollars but at the same time our only one asset of gas infrastructure is about forty to forty five billion dollars. He said there is no need to worry.

The Finance Minister asked the business community to put forward their reasonable demands with regards to the upcoming budget, assuring the government will cooperate with them.

Meanwhile, talking to delegations of Pakistan Business Council and Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Finance Minister assured that the genuine and realistic demands of the business community vis-a-vis the budget will be entertained according to the economic space available.

He said the budget will be presented on Friday next. He said government has delivered on all sovereign commitments at a huge political cost.

He said we are currently in consolidation phase and expressed the resolve to sail through the difficult times with collective efforts.

Separately talking to a delegation of Pakistan Stock Exchange, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said the coalition government has undertaken painful reforms and difficult decisions to save the economy.

He said we have saved the country from default. He expressed the commitment to strengthen the economy.
