All hospitals working under KMC to be improved to facilitate people: Sindh Governor

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has said that all hospitals working under Karachi Metropolitan Corporation would be improved to facilitate the people of the city.

This he said while chairing a meeting on KMC hospitals and ‘Taqatwar Pakistan programme’ in Karachi on Friday.

The Governor said under ‘Taqatwar Pakistan programme’ ration will also be provided to the patients in hospitals.

He asked needy people to get themselves registered to the Governor house for the programme.

Karakoram Highway blocked near Kharmang due to flash flood

Karakoram Highway is blocked near Kharmang due to flashflood in Kharmang Nullah.

Debris and mud flow as a result of flashflood caused the road blockage.

Clearance operation by Gilgit Baltistan Disaster Management Authority, Frontier Works Organization and district authorities is underway and is expected to complete in 36 hours.

CDA Declares 2 More Housing Societies in Islamabad Illegal

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared Samana Smart City and Sawan Farm House Society illegal.

CDA has issued instructions to citizens not to invest in these societies located in Zone Five.

According to the CDA public notice, it has been disclosed that plots are being marked or sold in the name of Samana Smart City and Sawan Farm House, Zone-V, Islamabad which is illegal as the sponsors of these schemes have not obtained Layout Plan approval or no objection certificate from CDA.

CDA has asked the general public to refrain from any sale/purchase of plots in Samana Smart City and Sawan Farm House till the sponsors obtain approval of the Layout Plan and No Objection Certificate from CDA after fulfilling the requisite formalities.

According to CDA, before making an investment of precious money, the public should ensure the legal status of the scheme from CDA. The CDA has asked citizens to visit its website to know the updated status of the layout plans of the schemes. According to the CDA in case of any fraud/loss, CDA will not be responsible.

The CDA has warned the management of Samana Smart City and Sawan Farm House to stop making any publicity, marketing, sale of plots, and making any type of development or construction in this unauthorized and illegal housing scheme.

The CDA has asked the owners of the society to get approval for Layout Plans and no objection certificate from CDA, after fulfilling the requisite formalities. According to CDA, after getting approval of the layout plan and no objection certificate, the society will be allowed for publicity and sale purchase of plots.

Former Premier League Player Keen to Join Pakistan for World Cup Qualifiers

Former Premier League player, Adil Nabi has expressed his strong desire to represent the Pakistan national team in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Caretaker Punjab cabinet meets in Lahore

The 16th meeting of the Caretaker Punjab Cabinet was held on Friday in Lahore under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

During the meeting, the caretaker Chief Minister directed officials concerned to resolve promotion cases of Punjab government employees. He also sought a comprehensive plan to overcome smog issue.

Former Punjab CM Usman Buzdar quits politics

Former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has quit politics in the wake of the May 9 violent riots.

Addressing a news conference at Quetta Press Club on Friday, he strongly condemned the 9th May vandalism and violence.

He said the entire nation stands with armed forces.

Meanwhile, Former MNA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Muhammad Yaqoob Sheikh has also relinquished his party position.

During a brief video message, he condemned the May 9 violent incidents and attacks on military installations.

He was elected as MNA on PTI ticket from Dera Ismail Khan.
