Rana Sanaullah lauds role of NACTA for countering terrorist financing

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has appreciated the role of NACTA for countering financing for terrorism in the context of Pakistan's recent removal from FATF's Grey List.

He was chairing NACTA's third Board of Governors meeting in Islamabad on Thursday.

The Minister expressed his satisfaction over NACTA's performance in countering extremism and terrorism, and said NACTA has to play a key role to support law enforcement agencies in defeating terrorism in the country.

The Minister also stressed upon the need to make preparations in view of resurgence of terrorism on the western borders.

Washington welcomes opportunities to expand ties b/w Pakistan, US: Ned Price

The US State Department Spokesperson, Ned Price says Washington welcomes opportunities to expand cooperation between Pakistan and the United States in areas of mutual interest.

Addressing a regular news briefing in Washington, he said Pakistan is an important partner of the United States in a number of respects.

To a question, he said United States has only interest in the interest of Pakistani people and Pakistan's constitutional system.
