PM reaffirms to further promote bilateral relations with Turkiye in diverse fields

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says with the existing conducive environment for foreign investors in Pakistan, the present government believes in timely completion of all projects and ensuring transparency in the whole process.

Talking to a delegation of a Turkish company Limak in Islamabad, Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed government commitment to further promote bilateral relations with Turkiye in diverse sectors including trade, investment, energy and communication.

Recalling his recent visit to Turkiye and successful meetings with Turkish businessmen, the Prime Minister said it is a good omen that Turkish companies are interested to invest in Pakistan.

He further said that signing of a Preferential Trade Agreement between Pakistan and Turkiye recently has opened new vistas of bilateral trade and investment in the areas of goods and services.

Shehbaz Sharif said the government PTA will help further augment the volume of trade between the two countries.

FM underlines utilization of Pak-Iran potential in energy, connectivity

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has underlined the need to fully utilize existing potential between Pakistan and Iran in energy, air links and connectivity.

Talking to Iranian Minister for Roads and Urban Development Rostam Ghasemi in Islamabad, he expressed hope that opening of new border crossing-points and establishment of border markets would improve livelihood and facilitate movement of people and goods.

Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for Iran’s steadfast support on Kashmir cause, particularly by the Supreme Leader.

Rostam Ghasemi, while thanking Foreign Minister for receiving delegation, remarked that the 21st session of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Economic Commission offers new avenues in expanding bilateral ties.

Iran’s Minister for Roads and Urban Development is visiting Pakistan for 21st Session of the Joint Economic Commission being held in Islamabad from Tuesday to Friday.

Complete rehabilitation, immediate assistance to flood victims top priority of Govt: PM

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that complete rehabilitation and immediate assistance to the flood victims is the top priority of the incumbent government.

He was chairing a follow-up meeting of relief operations in flood affected areas of Balochistan, in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister directed that joint survey should be conducted in Balochistan to estimate the damages occurred due to the recent floods. The Prime Minister also emphasized on ensuring transparency in the provision of relief assistance to the affected people.

He directed that authorities concerned to ensure provision of cash assistance to flood victims through National Disaster Management Authority electronic transfer.

The meeting was informed in detail about the data of the deaths, injured, damaged houses and livestock.

The meeting was further informed that the survey will be initiated form Sunday till 20th of next month in the flood affected areas of Balochistan.
