The United States says it plans to work with Pakistan to deal with the threat of terrorism in the region, especially from Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Addressing a regular news briefing in Washington, State Department spokesperson, Ned Price said it is of course our broader goal to see that terrorists are not able to use Afghanistan as a launch pad for attacks in Pakistan.

Ned Price was responding to a question about regrouping of terrorists in Afghanistan and their increasing cross-border attacks against Pakistan.

He said the United States is determined to work with its partners in the region, including Pakistan, to do what it can to take on the threat of terrorism in the region.
