Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior and Narcotics Control Talal Chaudhry has announced the launch of a survey titled “Secure Neighborhood,” aimed at enhancing the security of the Federal capital, scheduled to commence on Monday.
According to Radio Pakistan, Talal Chaudhry made this announcement during a press conference held in Islamabad, where he was accompanied by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon. The survey will cover every house, shop, and office within the Islamabad Capital Territory, facilitating the government in acquiring accurate data on residents and settlements. This initiative is expected to aid in the provision of improved municipal services to the people of Islamabad.
Talal Chaudhry also mentioned that, in the subsequent phase, electronic tags will become mandatory for all motorcycles in Islamabad to monitor their movements. He affirmed the government’s dedication to elevating Islamabad to a top-ranked city globally, with plans to initiate projects related to solid waste management, water supply, the establishment of luxury hotels, entertainment clubs, and a stadium within the next two years.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon highlighted that the door-to-door survey will commence on Monday, supported by the development of an application named “ICP household survey” for public convenience. This application will be available on both the Play Store and Apple Store. Inspector General Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi urged residents to cooperate with the authorities and provide their information to the survey teams.
