Second Phase of Zulfiqarabad oil terminal
Karachi: District Coordination Office (DCO) Karachi Mohammad Hussain Syed said that construction of a modern oil terminal underway in Zulfiqarabad that would pave the way for shifting of oil tanker’s terminals outside the city.
Addressing a meeting in DCO Camp Office on Tuesday, he said that the city government had already completed the first phase of the project and the PC-I for second phase costing Rs313million was sent to government for approval.
Work on this phase would begin right after the approval of it. The meeting was attended by EDO Works and Services Altaf G. Memon, EDO Transport Atique Baig and representative of police, KPT and other organizations.
He said a technical committee in this connection was being formed and all the stakeholders will be taken on board for this project. Phase-II was expected to be completed within a year.
