SBP includes S. Punjab districts in its credit guarantee scheme

Former Vice President Federation Of Pakistan Chambers Of Commerce and Industry Masooma Sibtain has lauded State Bank of Pakistan for notifying inclusion of southern Punjab districts in its credit guarantee scheme to enable women entrepreneurs of this area obtain loans on softer terms.

In a statement, she said SBP credit guarantee scheme was applicable in other cities but recently more districts have been added following a long struggle made by Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Multan division.

She said that now women entrepreneurs will be able to obtain loans on mark up as low as five percent and that too on a single guarantee.

Masooma Sibtain said SBP has expanded the scheme to fourteen more cities including Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Khanewal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhang, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Ghotki and Peshawar
