Gujranwala: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed the firm commitment to work relentlessly and in unity for the progress and development of the country. He was addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of the Mass Transit Transport System in Gujranwala.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif mentioned that the success of PML-N in recent by-elections is the outcome of the efforts and leadership of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He emphasized the party’s determination to work tirelessly over the next three years to advance the country, expressing confidence that PML-N will make a significant impact in the next general elections.
Regarding the Mass Transit Transport system in Gujranwala, the Prime Minister described this initiative by the provincial government as a game-changer for the entire district. He noted that the modern transport system will facilitate public movement, ensuring timely access to various destinations.
Recalling the development initiatives during Nawaz Sharif’s era in Punjab, the Prime Minister highlighted the advancements in road infrastructure, health, and education, which he believes will be remembered as significant contributions. He also noted Nawaz Sharif’s role in making Pakistan a nuclear power.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, speaking on the occasion, stated that the 31.2-kilometer-long Gujranwala metro bus corridor will be completed in twelve months at a cost of sixty-three billion rupees. She also announced plans for another metro project to be launched in Faisalabad in the coming days. The Chief Minister further emphasized various development projects aimed at benefiting farmers, laborers, women, and youth in the province.
