Any internal political change will not affect the solid friendship between Pakistan and China.

Experts from both countries told Chinese daily Global Times that the new government will continue to uphold the country's long-standing tradition to make sure the friendship and cooperation with China will be unaffected.

They believe ties between the two states will not be affected by the internal change in Pakistan because there is consensus among all parties and all groups in the country to safeguard and develop bilateral ties with China.

They said the CPEC and the BRI, as well as China-Pakistan cooperation in other fields including counterterrorism and fighting coronavirus, are significant for Pakistan to overcome its current challenges.
