Pakistan has no intension of seeking relief for repayment of its commercial loans, borrowings

Pakistan has no intension of seeking any kind of relief for repayment of its commercial loans and borrowings as it has the means and will honour its commercial commitments.

This was stated by Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, while chairing meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee in Islamabad today.

In order to manage and operate the Prime Minister’s COVID-19 pandemic Relief Fund, ECC approved constitution of the Policy Committee with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.

The committee will decide appropriate usage of the proceeds deposited in the fund including means of identification of beneficiaries, parameters of their selection and other related issues.
