Islamabad: Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing global climate action, renewable energy transition, and green growth for achieving global sustainability and climate resilience goals. Minister of State for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Shezra Mansab Ali Khan Kharal, expressed this resolve while addressing an event in South Korea’s capital, Seoul, today.
According to Radio Pakistan, Shezra highlighted that Pakistan is among the top ten most climate-vulnerable countries in the world, despite contributing less than one percent to global greenhouse gas emissions. This stark contrast underscores the significant challenges Pakistan faces in its battle against climate change, as well as its dedication to contributing positively to global climate efforts.
