Pakistan and Qatar Agree to Boost Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence


Doha: Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to enhance their partnership in emerging technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and Qatar’s Finance Minister Ali Bin Ahmed Al Kuwari in Doha.



According to Radio Pakistan, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic ties by maximizing opportunities created through the newly concluded GCC-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement. This includes expanding trade flows and deepening energy cooperation, with a focus on long-term LNG collaboration.



The discussions also covered collaboration on digital infrastructure, skills development, and regulatory reform. Both parties agreed to establish structured mechanisms to advance joint efforts in trade diversification, technology, climate resilience, and investment facilitation.



They expressed confidence that Pakistan-Qatar relations are entering a new phase of strategic growth, which will be fueled by these enhanced partnerships and cooperative endeavors.
