Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has emphasized that Pakistan will not tolerate the misuse of Afghan soil for activities against the country and has reaffirmed the government’s firm stance on the repatriation of illegal Afghan citizens. Addressing a news conference in Lahore, he underscored the urgent need for Afghanistan to take concrete steps in preventing its territory from being used for activities detrimental to Pakistan’s security.
According to Radio Pakistan, Naqvi highlighted that four hundred thousand Afghan citizens had been repatriated from the Torkham Border as of September 17. He further detailed that a total of eleven hundred thousand Afghans had been repatriated from Pakistan by April this year. The minister clarified that any future illegal entries from Afghanistan into Pakistan would result in immediate arrest.
Naqvi also pointed out the involvement of an Afghan national in the Islamabad suicide blast, stressing that this underscores the necessity for the Afghan regime to cease allowing their land to be used against Pakistan. Pakistan’s demand is clear: the Afghan government must act decisively to prevent any hostile actions emanating from their territory.
