Lahore: President of EU Harmonization Committee and Member of Turkish Grand National Assembly, Burhan Kayaturk along with a delegation called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in Lahore on Monday. During the meeting, they discussed ways to boost bilateral ties besides economic, environmental, and parliamentary issues.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Punjab Chief Minister emphasized the importance of enhancing permanent ties between Pak-Turkiye parliamentary delegations and legislatures. Maryam Nawaz highlighted that Pakistan welcomes Turkish investment and expertise in various sectors including construction, power, rural planning, logistics, and mining.
She further stated that cooperation in climate-related legislation, local government, and youth empowerment will provide a new angle to the bilateral ties between the two nations.
