LEAs Apprehend Fisherman Over Suspicious Activities

Islamabad: The intelligence and law enforcement agencies have apprehended a fisherman, Ijaz Mallah, for his suspicious activities. This was stated by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar while addressing a news conference along with Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary in Islamabad on Saturday.

According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar said India has resorted to propaganda warfare and massive misinformation campaigns against Pakistan after facing a failure in Operation Sindoor. He revealed that Ijaz Mallah was carrying out tasks given by Indian handlers and was arrested in the high seas while en route to India to deliver uniforms of Sindh Rangers, Pakistan Navy, and Army. Pakistani currency, cigarettes, receipts, and Zong SIM cards were also recovered from him.

The Information Minister stated that Ijaz Mallah was tasked with procuring these uniforms with specific name tags and fittings as part of a larger plan by Indian intelligence agencies to launch propaganda warfare against Pakistan. He emphasized that the arrest of Ijaz Mallah is an example of India’s efforts to malign Pakistan, and Pakistan is presenting this evidence to the world.

Attaullah Tarar noted that the world is aware of India’s actions and false narrative. He mentioned that this activity could be linked to the Naval exercise being conducted by the Indian Navy in the Kutch, Gujarat, and Bhoj area. He added that after the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav, India is using common fishermen as they cannot risk sending commissioned officers disguised as businessmen.

The Minister assured that Pakistan’s armed forces and intelligence agencies are vigilant, equipped, and ready to counter any eventuality. On the occasion, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry remarked that the Indian regime frequently conducts fake encounters and staged incidents to build a state narrative.
