Prime Minister Imran Khan says Karachi being economic hub of the country has a vital role in stability and development of the national economy.
He was chairing a high-level meeting in Islamabad today (Wednesday) in connection with development projects undertaken by the federal government in Karachi.
The meeting reviewed the progress on various development schemes of the federal government in city of Quaid.
The Prime Minister said federal government is fully cognizant of the issues being faced by the residents of Karachi including transport, drinking water, sewerage and housing among others.
He reiterated government's resolve to play its full role in overcoming these problems. Imran Khan also directed to expedite the progress on projects relating to the city.
