Kaira stresses need to preserve local languages to keep country’s culture alive

Advisor to Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has stressed the need to preserve local languages to keep our culture alive.

He was addressing a four-day international training workshop on "Language Documentation" at Allama Iqbal Open University in Islamabad on Thursday.

He said a language is not only a source of communication but it helps us to preserve our past and heritage.
