ISESCO to participate in 21st Islamic Arts Festival in Sharjah, UAE

Rabat The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will participate in the 21st edition of the Islamic Arts Festival, to be organized by the Department of Culture and Information of Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates, from 19 December 2018 to 29 January 2019.

The festival, to be launched under the theme of "Horizon", will contain 238 activities including forums, workshops, art exhibitions and lectures on cultural, artistic and heritage topics hosted by the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information, in collaboration with 25 official bodies in the Emirate. These include University of Sharjah's College of Fine Arts and Design, Union of Arab Photographers, Sharjah Ladies Club, the Sharjah Calligraphy Museum, and the Sharjah Women's Sisters, among others.

Participants in the event include university professors, artists, researchers and on issues of culture, art and Islamic heritage from within the UAE, as well as lecturers from the Arab world and beyond.

ISESCO's participation in the festival will include a lecture entitled "The Role of Islamic Heritage and Art in Spreading and Promoting Islamic Values and ISESCO Programs and Activities for its Protection, Development and Preservation" to be presented by Dr. Ali Rahal, an expert at the ISESCO Regional Office in Sharjah, on December 25 at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization.
